Hello! Welcome to my blog! My name is Elena Harris and I currently reside in Woodstown, New Jersey. I am a 4th grade teacher at an elementary school in my town. This is my 3rd year teaching! In my classroom I really love using a variety of technology. In order to teach effectively and efficiently, I have an AppleTV in my classroom that I can airplay to! I use the app, Notability, on my iPad to upload pictures of assignments and then annotate on them. I have found this effective because it allows all of my students the ability to see what I am writing at the same time they are working. I also use my AppleTV to airplay videos from my laptop, and display slideshows for my students to view with ease. The online website, Canva, has a free educator account and I frequently use their slideshows to display information for my students. When I am not giving direct instruction, my students work on their own devices to complete assignments. I like to have my assignments linked in our Google Classroom before giving directions to my kiddos. Some of our most common platforms that we use in my classroom are; Boom Cards, Prodigy, ReadWorks, Storyworks, iReady, and Blooket. There are so many resources that are readily available and I have found these effective for independent work in my classroom. I hope that you enjoy my journey! I am constantly adapting and changing the activities and resources used for my students as we live in an ever changing world of technology!
